Breaking boundaries, crossing currents, mixing cultures. An invitation from Zimbabwe led to a work specifically created for the Charter House in Harare. Local actors, dancers and musicians worked together with Y-Space for a two-week rehearsal period and six performances.
Chop Suey is a Chinese stir fry mixing different ingredients in one wok. This work crossed disciplinary, national and cultural boundaries. Dance, music, environmental sounds, movement, installation, architectural space, cityscape and local audiences were stirred together in this work.
